Reiki (Ray-Key) is a Japanese word that means "Universal Life Force Energy". This is an ancient Tibetan healing art which was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 19th Century.
Reiki is a laying on of hands healing touch system. In Reiki, practitioners are attuned to be a channel of the Universal Life Force energy. This healing system works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies to promote balance and healing.
Reiki, as with other forms of holistic healing, helps the body to rebalance and stimulates your natural healing powers. Reiki can do no harm and it will not interfere with traditional medical treatments. It is not a religion and it is not affiliated with any religions.

Reiki
Training: Reiki Practitioners attend a series of classes to receive information, attunements, symbols and certification. Reiki Practitioner's body energy channels are opened and cleared of blocks through the attunements. There are three stages to being a Reiki Practitioner.
Reiki Level 1, the Practitioner becomes a channel for Universal Healing Energy. Reiki I empowers you to convey the Universal Life Force for balance and healing for yourself and others. This class includes a manual, attunements,learning one symbol and hand placements for working on yourself and others.
Reiki Level II, the healing energy is increased and the attunements focus on emotional, mental and karmic healing. It also enables you to do long distance healing. This class includes a manual, two symbols, the process for distant energy transfer, accessing information and transition work.
Reiki Level III, is the Master/Teacher Degree. Healing takes on a greatly increased energy level. The class includes a Teacher's Manual, the Master Symbol, learning how to conduct classes for all three levels of Reiki training and how to conduct the attunements for all three levels. There is one attunement and you will receive your Reiki Master/Teacher certification. Only after being certified are you allowed to teach and do attunements.
